From the Current Winner's Trophy Holder...

Well I told you I wanted it before the race.  It is about time...It sure is going to feel good placing my name on this thing.   Like always “Some Where someone from the DRC is training when you are not, and when you race him you will loose”, and this trophy will still belong to Me! :)

2006 World Famous MUD RUN……

06/14/2006

Well we have been laying a little low this yr, starting off the year in Huntington Beach like every year with the Pacific Shoreline Half Marathon – the race that starts our year of training. Then comes our Earth Day Race in April…then the race of the year for the DRC – The World Famous Mud Run. I know that there have not been too many updates to this page, but‘the training for the Mud Run (among other things) has taken priority…

The DRC competed in the World Famous Camp Pendleton Mud Run, this past Saturday June 10th. This was the DRC‘s 5‘th year in a row we have competed in this race. This has become our “Race of the Year“ for us, since we retired from the “Mojave 250+ Death Race“…really 285 mile race, but who‘s counting…We love this race…,and the sponsor CoorsLIGHT…This year was a little different, after Winning this race in the open team division last year we were looking to come back and defend the title, so here is,br> the short version:

Triathlon What……

09/25/2005

As everyone was training for next week’s run in Placentia, a couple of the DRC boys, and 2 extended members were slipping in a little swimming and riding in addition to their run training. Today was the first triathlon for all three of the “K“ boys. If it was not for Lou pushing this one, we are not sure his two sons would have jumped in on this. The good news is that all three completed the Long Beach Triathlon today. They all were even saying they would do it again, so it must not have been all that bad, but like any other runner / rider, it was the swim that gave them the reservation and has kept them from jumping in on this sport earlier. Veteran Dave B. did the Malibu Triathlon today as the other 3 did Long Beach. Dave is a veteran with today’s race being his third for the year. I think we are all going to try and keep the Tri spirit alive in the DRC and maybe even rustle up some old Tri spirit in some of the retired Triathletes in the DRC – I can think of two Daves who have the spirit in their past. We are calling you out…… So boys……How is Catalina — Nov 5th looking……? Anyone up for the challenge – teams included. DRC will provide the housing, you bring your game and we should be good to go for a weekend blast in Catalina come November.
